Now at first you prolly thinkin' to yourself how the
hell did Chops team up with LA's Daz Dillinger? Well
when you're an internationally respected producer it
bees like that. . All Night Long serves as the
first single from the forthcoming DPG ( Dogg Pound Gangstas)
album U Know What I'm Throwin' Up.
Brother Chops sounds right at home amidst all the G-funkin
goin' on All Night Long. As the title suggests, this
is a party anthem cut from the same DPG formula. Daz
does for G-Funk what AC/DC does for rock. Now upon initial
inspection of the production on the remix you'd be completely
convinced that the track was created on the opposite
coast. It seems like every month Chops expands his range
a lil' bit more and more. The Mountain Brothers this
ain't and that's really a testament to the versatility,
creativity and most importantly talent that resides
in the inner most regions of the Magnificent Butcher's
cranium. Of course I'd be remiss not to mention Daz.
It is after all, his cut. Dillinger does his thing as
always. The brother isn't an emcee, knows his limitations
and utilizes them to be the most successful rapper he
can be. He's got the proven track record to show that
it works. He's also got people behind him savvy enough
to pull in a producer as in demand as Chops to add to
the album's potential audience.
No matter what I saw some of y'all are just gonna blow
it off as some ole' West Coast G-Funk thang that'll
never get any play here and ain't tryin' ta hear it.
To y'all I say you obviously underestimate the reach
and power that Philly Hip Hop possesses and the respect
that the rest of the world has for our thing. This is
just another example to vindicate my claims that we
are home to the most diverse Hip Hop scene on the planet.
Let the magnitude of that sink in for a minute and recognize
Chops as a big part of the love.
