Camden City emcee Calhoun's first effort on Trauma Center Records proves itself to be more than mixtape worthy when you take into account the infectious track bounce provided by Rocksteady and Calhoun's own confident, no onosense delivery. No Remedy proves to be a head nodder with the potential for mass appeal and endless club spins. With polished boasting rhymes, tight syncopation and a easily remembered hook packing punch, Calhoun shows he's in the same league as other radio friendly staples while keeping one foot firmly planted in the streets. With a clear, relaxed flow and production from established producer DJ Rocksteady this brother in undoubtedly on the right track. Mixtape DJs will wanna scoop this one up for inclusion on upcoming releases. It's like that.
Think of No Remedy as an excellent introduction to the danceable Gully stylings of the one they call Calhoun. This is only the beginning.
