So far so good. The street buzz about the gritty, grimy Take Down Records is living up to expectations. So Excited is a perfect example of the Philly Gully formula as it should be done.

With a hard hittin' beat supporting a clever, catchy hook only good things can happen. And don't get it twisted. It ain't just the 215 feelin' this crew. The Dirty South is all over this like chocolate on a Kit Kat. Bugsy of the Dalinkwentz starts off the verbal contributions with a smooth, confident delivery that makes it clear that he has that special something that most rappers only dream of reaching. Unfortunately the same can't be said for Caution. She is an average rapper, the dime a dozen types, the interchangeable faceless gangsta B that street crews seem to be required to have these days. Snake jumps in to bring the funk back to the level that Bugsy set it off with. He's got that same special something that Bugs possesses.

If they keep up this early season momentum, 2003 is gonna be the year of the Take Down. Mark my words.
