West Illadelphian and internationally respected emcee
Baby Blak just keeps going and going and going and going.
With no more Fresh Prince Of Bel Air at his side, DJ
Jazzy Jeff searched high and low and settled on The
Baby Blak Of Jamacia Estates as the rap to his scratch.
Nuff said?
The latest in a string of successful 12' inch releases
is the jazzy Economix. In his signature conversation
tone, Blak impressively delves into the true mathematics,
design and intent of Economix in America. It's almost
as if he sneaks the knowledge in on you as you untense
your shoulders while taking in the comforting jazz of
the kick drum and fluid piano keys. Much of the allure
of Baby Blak is his credo of eschewing industry intervention
in his art and calling his own shots. Only a voice in
control of it's own destiny can emmit such truthful
asrtistry. Economix is one of those slices of artistry
that wins approval from all niches of the Hip Hop landscape.
The most dangerous thing in Hip Hop is a man who can
go from the corners to the classroom to the boardroom
and command respect at every stop. Baby Blak is that
thing.
