You down with 40D? Yeah you know me. Yo, for real these
brothers are niiiiiice with theirs! This is the flav
that our graffiti covered backpack slingin' Rawkus type
heads fiend for. Tattoo the name into your mental- 40th
Dimension. Going forward you'll refer to it frequently.
Purchase this EP. The dynamic duo of Scandal and Happ
G rep the 215 to the world stage with the Phillies red
undaground pride that we boastfully bleed. This is one
of the gems containing lyrical artistry and bona fide
beats that make wading through all of the wack homemade
chicken grease stained demos we receive worth it.
The title track Super Scandalous bursts out blurting
spit style over a loopy, operatic soundscape in classic
unadulterated underground Hip Hop fashion. Is it underground
because its not good enough to move mighty units? Hell
no! Its right where it needs to be, high quality, pure
and uncut for all to ingest. The blingers and Pop Hoppers
won't get it but so what, it isn't for them anyway.
And the instrumentation on I Don't Care, melted butta
baby. Seamless delivery, an eerily hypnotic back track
and precise production create another PTPer or prime
time player for our basketbally challenged readers.
This is real Hip Hop with a real DJ scratching real
records. The result is real nice. These are lyricists
in the realest sense. Really.... And for really rugged
raparobics peep the clever, bouncy tones that manifest
as Tiddy-Itty. I know it all sounds like Bozack ridin'
but its simply giving credit where credit is due. Here
they offer up lines ranging from "every wire must
be live out the 215, I'll have you buggin' in your ride
like New Jersey Drive" to "Ganja passin' outlasting
freshmen and upperclassmen, and fashion don't wait for
the gun I'm straight dashin' with passion, pants saggin'
belt buckle unfastened drunk standin' next to your ride
pissin' on it and laughin..." Super Scandalous
raps up with the 40 pounds of funk packed into a 20
pound bag flow of the lyrically complex Scaaaand. What
can I say, it has real cutting and it follows the pattern
of the first three cuts in its phatness.
To cut to the chase and wrap it up neatly, I'd pay real
money for Super Scandalous. 40th Dimension is in the
lab working on their full length follow up as you're
reading this. I already know I'd pay for that one too.
I suggest y'all do the same.
